A Special Story for Women’s History Month

In this issue, I am thrilled to share the remarkable story of Dr. Gladys B. West with you and your students. Dr. West is a mathematician whose top-secret work in the 1960s and 1970s led to the invention of GPS—a technology that has completely transformed the way we live. West went largely unrecognized until recent years, and it’s an honor to bring her story to your classroom.
