Site or Sight?

A site is a specific place or location, as in
“The Statue of Liberty is a historical site.”

Sight has several meanings: 

  • The ability to see, as in “Jenny has perfect sight.” 
  • Something seen, as in “I gasped at the sight of my little sister doing three backflips in a row.” 
  • Something worth seeing, as in “Yellowstone National Park has many incredible sights.”
