Helpful Resources During School Closures

Dear Scope teachers,
I'm writing to you from my apartment in Brooklyn, where it seems that life is changing by the minute. Schools are closed. The streets are empty and quiet. The news is overwhelming.
Across the country, many of you and your communities are facing similar situations. I want to let you know that we are here for you and your students, and our team is working hour by hour to make sure we support you in the challenging weeks ahead.
Here are some ways you and your students can use Scope remotely:

  • Encourage students to use Scope at home. Make sure your students and their parents have their classroom password. To find the classroom password, click the icon in the upper-right corner of the website (see screenshot on the left, below), then click My Dashboard from the dropdown. That link will take you to a page that will display your classroom password (see screenshot on the right, below).

This password is all they need to read stories and articles, listen to authors read aloud, and watch videos at Scope Online. The site can also be viewed on phones.

As always, I am standing by to help. Please email me anytime: I'd love to connect and hear how you're doing.
